We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Floating Elementary Aide to support our teachers and students in the classroom. The Elementary Aide will play a vital role in assisting with classroom management, implementing the day-to-day operations of the school, and ensuring a positive learning environment for all students. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys working with young children in a faith-based setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist teachers of preschool and 1st grade with daily classroom activities, including preparing materials, organizing supplies, and maintaining an orderly learning environment.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by the teacher.
Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as arrival and dismissal, lunch, recess, bathroom, and transitions.
Encourage positive student behavior in alignment with school policies and procedures by modeling expectations.
Collaborate as a member of a cohesive team of professional educators.
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities as assigned by the principal.
Uphold and model the Catholic values and mission of Archangel Gabriel Catholic School in all interactions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or higher in education or a related field highly preferred.
Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students.
Successful completion of required background checks and obtain clearances per school and diocesan policies upon hire.

Ideal Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 2:45 PM (can be discussed upon hire).
