Description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our team at Archangel Gabriel Catholic School in Robinson Township. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for interacting with elementary and middle school students and introducing them to reading music and playing instruments. You will also be responsible for teaching musical technique to our students through engaging and creative music classes and introducing students to a variety of different musical genres. The ideal candidate should have a background in music education, an understanding of music theory, and the ability and enthusiasm to inspire students to develop their musical talents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver music lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum and academic standards.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and provide opportunities for students that encourage musical growth.
• Create and maintain a positive and safe learning environment that fosters creativity and musical development.
• Introduce students to a variety of musical genres and styles as well as the various elements associated with them.
• Collaborate with AGS parents and colleagues to support student learning and growth.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess a valid Music Education PK-12 or Music K-12 certification (Special Education Certification not required)
• Proficient in piano
• Available to teach two full days a week

Spanish Teacher (Full-Time for the Fall of 2024) at Archangel Gabriel Catholic School

Description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Spanish Teacher to join our team at Archangel Gabriel Catholic School in Robinson Township. As a Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for interacting with elementary and middle school students and introducing them to the World Language of Spanish. You will also be responsible for teaching the Spanish Language to our students through engaging and creative classes and introducing students to a variety of different levels of proficiency. The ideal candidate should have a background in Spanish Education, an understanding of professional pedagogy, and the ability and enthusiasm to inspire students to develop their speaking skills in Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver Spanish lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum and academic standards.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and provide opportunities for students that encourage Spanish proficiency.
• Create and maintain a positive and safe learning environment that fosters creativity and second language development.
• Introduce students to a variety of cultural aspects as well as the various elements associated with Spanish speaking cultures.
• Collaborate with AGS parents and colleagues to support student learning and growth.

Worship

1. Collaborates with other appropriate members of the staff to assure quality prayer and liturgical celebration opportunities for the school community;
2. Oversees the appropriate provision of sacramental preparation programs and of sacramental reception for students of the school community where applicable.

Education

1. Provides opportunities for in-service in spiritual and educational development for the staff;
2. Directs, supervises, and evaluates and improves all areas of the curriculum; and 3) Provides staff development for the faculty.

Administration

1. Observes and evaluates teaching personnel;

1. Maintains close cooperation among those involved in the governance of the school.
2. Appoints faculty to oversee areas of need;
3. Articulates the philosophy and objectives of Catholic education as stated in the teachings of the Church and by the diocesan bishop;
4. Monitors the acquisition of diocesan accreditation, religious certification and Pennsylvania

1. Prepares and submits required reports for the diocesan Schools Office, advisory or regional board and Regional Administrator, as applicable;
2. Oversees the maintenance and safety of school facilities;
3. Supervises the implementation of a program for Catholic Identity, the Middle States

1. Supervises and evaluates instruction according to Diocesan policy.
2. Plans and presents orientation for new teachers and paraprofessionals;
3. Participates in the preparation of the annual school budget and submits it for approval;
4. Assists in establishing the tuition policy of the school;
5. Cooperates with fundraising projects for the school;
6. Communicates with the local public school administration;
7. Monitors recruitment and retention of students; and
8. Establishes and participates in the long range planning committee for the school.

Qualities

1. Understanding of the philosophy of Catholic education, and the policies and programs which govern the Catholic school;
2. Understanding, as an instructional leader, of the patterns of growth in child and adolescent development and possessing a workable knowledge of learning theories;
3. Proficiency in curriculum development;
4. Knowledge of personal and interpersonal leadership styles; and
5. Understanding and appreciation of evaluation techniques for self and other personnel.

FORMATION, TRAINING, AND CRITERIA FOR READINESS

1. Since the Principal is faith leader as well as academic leader, all Principals shall be practicing
